Dr. Kent Mitchell
Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Kent Mitchell specializes in pain management. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical science at Texas A&M, and went on to graduate from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He did an internship and his residency in the John Peter Smith Hospital System in Fort Worth, Texas. After residency he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine, providing medical coverage for the Golden Gloves, several local high schools, Dallas Baptist University and Texas Christian University. After that, he did a second fellowship in Pain Management through John Peter Smith and the UT Southwestern Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program. Dr. Mitchell is Board Certified in Pain Management and Family Practice and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He engages in comprehensive pain management, partnering with the patient first, and then appropriate medical professionals to achieve the best care possible. Outside of medical practice, Dr. Mitchell is pursuing a Masters Degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. He lives in Fort Worth with his wonderful wife and four small (and very active) children.
